Rush Creek - Lower Crossing Overlook
Between May and September of 2005 the high runoff due to heavy snowpack reworked the main channel and removed a row of willows where the channel finally settled. Since the rewatering, Rush Creek has become a living changing trout stream.
These pictures have been taken over a number of years and seasons to understand the changes occurring at this point.
The location is above the crossing of Test Station Road and Rush Creek below US 395.

This early season picture from before the willows have developed leaves shows clearly the channel changes from the 20050513 pictures that start this sequence.
Warm spring weather has brought Rush Creek to a high level in early May in 2006.
