  • Lower Big Pine Creek<br /> November 12, 2006<br /> In 1983 a major flash flood ripped out every bridge on this creek and left the streambed a jumble of logs and large boulders. In the years since, the stream has collected a base of finer particles and willows and other plants have started to provide cover. The lower creek still largely consists of shallow runs and deep rocky pockets.
